She always wanted to watch the show "Family Matters" on ABC Family. A few days after my birthday an advertisement popped up. "Coming June 26, Kyle XY. Seeing a few clips of this upcoming show made me leap for joy. I said "I'm going to watch this show! Right up my alley! Anything that deals with SCI FI and mystery, I love." While deep down in my soul, had the feeling something wonderful is going to come.
Waiting patiently, I watched "Family Matters" with my grandmother eager to see any new footage of this upcoming series. I was all excited! I wanted to know the name of this mysterious boy with no belly-button. "Who is this guy? What other projects he's worked on? How old is he? He's cute!"
Then one day the announcer revealed the name of this mysterious boy with no belly-button. "Matt Dallas." I thought, huh!? Out of all names it had to be Matt!" On top of that images came flowing through my head. The name Dallas i saw cowboy hats, horses, country and western music. Because there's a place here in Texas called Dallas.
The day the pilot aired my grandmother was in the hospital getting surgery. Waiting to hear any news on her updates. I was home alone watching this handsome young man's performance. "There were no words to describe how I felt for this young man and the way he portrays his amazing performance. He touched my soul. Brought tears to my eyes. I felt such love and compassion for this guy. He moved me!
It was during the scenes he was laughed at. By them bullies. Punched in the face by the head bully. Fell to the ground defenseless, looked up with blood on his face. In a zombie state as he peed on himself like an innocent child. He was unaware of what just happened.
Another memorable scene. He was playing on the computer. He heard the sound of music playing. Got up to follow where the sond was coming from. Entering into the house as he sawa beautiful young lady playing the tune to "Cannon." Tears came pouring down his face. Made a wimper. The young lady turned swiftly. The frightened young man toppled and ran off to hide. "He nailed that right on!" Showed the expression of his fear and the emotions.
There are several other parts throughout the show that are impactful but those two were the most. It was something that I never seen in any type of programming that touches the human soul.
The most inspiring moment was when Nicole walked into a room where Kyle was tapping a crayon on a piece of paper. He held up the drawing and in my mind I saw as if he really drew this incredible piece of art. I was floored. It was so believable. I thought"I'm so inspired by this I want to do art in that style!" So that's what caused me to be driven to do my art in that style."
Last of all. The most memorable, famous impactful scene was the warm welcoming of the family inviting Kyle to the dinner table along to Mike Suby's Score "Welcome To The Family.)
"I knew right then that this show was going to be special." More to come.....;)
After watching a few episodes I wanted to see if I could find anything on this show and its cast. So I went online to see. Nothing. I waited a few days and went online. Finally I found a "Myspace" group. So I joined. The admin was really sharp at finding pictures, news, and updates. So far nothing. The fans started up topics on the same therories to the famous quote, "WHO IS KYLE XY?"
Weeks went by. I decided to surf the web to see if I could find anything on this show. I came across an article with this picture. (above) "The first picture of MAtt that I found." I went back to the group. No new updates other than discussion on the show and screencaps made by the admin. I went surfing again. By fate, I stumbled across a short bio on Matt. (Matthew Joseph Dallas birn on Oc 21 1982 in Pheonix, AZ.) I went back to the group to share this info.. A young lady sent me a private message asking me for the link to that bio. Also that she went to his school and didnt know that much on him. "Funny thing was I went to look for it, searched my history for hours, couldnt find it weird!"
Weeks went by. The fans started to find links to more sites popping up. One was (KyleXY.com) and ABC Family's official site. Then more fans started to join the group. There was one that had lots to say. (B) caught my attention. I went to read the profile. Was interested in her interests. So I added her in. I sent her an email. Told her that I liked what she wrote and that was very inspiring to read.
In a second email I told her that this may sound weird but it would be coold to meet Matt Dallas. She replied back and said, :I dont think it's weird at all. I think it's cool and you inspire me to write my first blog!" ;)
"Would never thought in my wildest dreams that (B) was to play a role in the making of my Kyle XY and Matt Dallas history!" More to come... ;)
