My Call In Interview With Matt Dallas & April Matson On The 'Pamela Beaty Show'
Dec 4 2012: I was going through a dark period in my life. I thought of many things to get me right back on the path of my life. Nothing seem to comfort me during these dark moments., until a little ray of inspirational hope came the form of an upcoming interview with actors Matt Dallas & April Matson. Speaking to intuitive Pamela Beaty. "This is going to be interesting. Not only my favorite actors but to be delved deep into the spiritual connections of their lives."
I was all pumped up to hear on where this was going to lead up to. The moment I saw the announcements on my Twitter feed. I clicked to the link of the site. To where the interview was to be taken place. Me having an Android 3 G for my internet connection. I found out that this was to be a major difficulty to connect to the program. Many times of clicking going back. Clicking and going back. I became very frustrated. I dmed a friend and asked him since he had direct access to the interview. Asking him to give me me bits of information on their discussion. He gladly helped me. "Being from another country. Bless his heart. He did his very best to communicate to me the best he knew how.
I felt a prompting in me to go ahead and give them a call. Went to dial the number. I felt this sense of calmness as the phone ringing away. I knew the question I wanted to ask them. Pamela answered the phone. Announced. "Hi you're on the air with Matt and April. "Do you have any questions you would like to ask them?" A bit of nervousness came over me as I asked them. "What is the most challenging part in your careers?" They all laughed and started in on the conversation. Matt replied, "when I'm not on the set." Then April started to tell me of her challenges. Then Pamela asked me. "Do you want to be an actress?" I paused and didn't know what to say. Mind you, I had no idea on how this format worked. I heard nothing of their interview until I heard the mp3 archive afterwords. I had a hard time hearing April but Pamela and Matt I heard fine.
Pamela replied. "Did they answered your question?" I paused and lost my thought for words. Matt came in and said. "You don't sound fully satisfying." As they laughed. April commented. "We don't believe you. Do you have another one?" Then Pamela asked. "Is there's another question you like to ask?" I wanted to asked them. I was at a stomping moment. My mind went blank. "I hate when that happens!" If I only knew what I really wanted to ask. Believe you me. I wanted to ask!!!
Being the sweet woman I am, lol. I started to compliment them on their accomplishments. I mentioned to them that I've been a big fan of the show, (KyleXY) and been following their careers ever since. Wishing them the very best of their success. Pamela asked me my age. She was amazed that I told her I'm 37 years old. She thought I sounded like a 12 year old. Had a sweet voice. "I already like her. She seems like an amazing person to get to know." Right after Pamela said, "thanks for calling." I continued and began to speak out about my experiences of what I'm been going through and how I see the good side to life's challenges. "I WANTED THEM TO KNOW WHERE I'M COMING FROM." I said to them that just keep on knowing that blessings will come when you keep hanging on. Matt replied to me his take on this..
"EVEN WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU JUST KEEP ON STUMBLING AND STUMBLING. THAT YOU FEEL LIKE THERE'S NO REWARD FOR ALL THE HARD WORK YOU'RE DOING. YOU JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE AND YOU HAVE TO GET BACK UP AND KEEP ON FIGHTING."
Personal "Joism" thanks Matt. :) I felt this incredible sense of peace when having this discussion. It was if he understands about what I know and about the struggles we artists face on a daily basis. That he's right. "WE GOT TO KEEP ON FIGHTING WHEN WE GET PUSHED DOWN. TO BELIEVE IN OUR DREAMS AND KEEP ON PURSUING."
After I said my comments. Matt & April responded thank you but Matt, the sweet nature man he is, responded, "Awe, that's sweet, thank you Bridget! Thank you Bridget!" I thought it was just too cool that Matt said my name twice! He's a real sweetheart. :)
I also thought that it was very interesting timing. When I heard the full interview. Right before my call. That they happen to be talking about the paparazzi and the pressures of an actor's life. How social media can do good or harm to a celebrity's life. The dangers of gossip and the degrading of a person's self esteem. "KEEP THAT IN MIND. THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO."
Then I came to find out that Matt was getting into writing towards a short film with April as the staring role. I can imagine with Matt having many talents acting, singing, dancing and now taken up the pen. Seeing what form of writing he's going to present to his future audience is going to be very interesting. :)
